What is Job Pool and How it works?

Can anyone pls illuminate what exactly is the benefit of the job pool?

Is it possible for a candidate, who hasn't applied or filed his/her application to CIC, to apply in Job Pool and get an offer?
It will add extra point to the candidate file which can be entered in the file details.
Just curious if this is possible or anyone has done this.

Hi,

Ok, so you check you are eligible for Express Entry (language test, converted qualifications etc). If you are you are given a job bank number. You activate your job bank (job pool) profile. The two together work IN THEORY so you can apply to jobs (however almost all job bank jobs are for people applying for LMIAs so aren't real).

You can apply for jobs, sure, but you will need a CIC EE profile to move to Canada.

As stated above, Job bank is just the way how to get LMIA for people. So the offers there are not real (they already have somebody for that offer).
So practicaly job bank is useless. For real job offers try rather other websites (Monsters.ca , Indeed ...)
You cannot activate job bank profile without your EE profile numer. You need to connect those 2 together in order to finish activation of EE as well.

Good news is that Job bank account can be redirected to a different EE number (but always just to 1).

So basically, the job pool act as a source to get job and hired AFTER you move to Canada?

It will not help you to attain any job based points WHILE APPLYING for Canada?

It's the government's way of standardising the job application process. It is required by employers wanting an lmia for employees to advertise on it so 99% of the ads are from employers who already have an employee ready. The government just wants you to connect to job bank to keep it all standard, even though it's fake.

Applying for job bank jobs doesn't get you extra points, it's just another half of the EE profile that has to be active to be eligible.
