I'm an international student from the Bahamas moving to Canada as a student in about a week. I've already applied for and been approved for my study permit which as I understand it the final decision is made at the border, I've been granted a Point of Entry (POE) letter. I was formally an international student in the US, and I still have belongings there which I will be moving from storage in the Uhaul. What documentation will I need for this process?
Here's what I think I need:
Point of Entry Letter
Acceptance Letter from Institution
Passport
eTA - Granted once I was approved for the study permit
Proof of funding - I plan on bringing the receipt given when I paid for residence and tuition
Packing List of what's in the Uhaul
I plan on crossing over Ambassador Bridge, I've read prior that Uhaul trucks do not enter the commercial truck lane.
Is there anything missing here? How detailed does the packing list need to be? Do I need anything for US Customs?
