Hi Everyone,

3 days ago, I have received a letter in MyCIC account saying that my study permit restoration application has been refused & I should leave Canada immediately (no dates). I haven't received anything else from either CIC or CBSA.

My question is -

# Is this a "Departure Order"?
# If not -
What is a "Departure Order" & when & how should I expect it?
Do they sent a "Departure Order" to everyone who gets refused or do you need to get their attention (say by getting arrested, being tipped off or at a check point)

I have no intention of violating the law. This is solely to understand what are my option are at this point. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm at the verge of jumping off of a bridge here :(

If your restoration request has been refused and you have received a letter indicating you need to leave Canada - then your only option is to leave Canada if you have no intention of violating the laws. You should leave within 30 days.

Why don't you leave, take a couple of weeks "vacation" and return as a "visitor". I assume that you are visa-exempt.

Although you query has been answered by others, was wondering if you could share the reason of rejection if any mentioned. And the reason why you had to get into restoration mode?
