what is a departure order, is a visitor record requesting leaving also regard as a departure order?

My wife has 10 years multiple visitor visa, and recently when she entered Canada, she was request to leave Canada within one month because my study permit extension was just refused (however I am doing the restoration).

The thing is she was given a visitor record and in the remark/observation it reads "Must surrender this document to an immigration officer upon departure from Canada".

My question is: is this visitor record a so called "voluntary" departure order, will this become a deportation order if she doesn't want to leave but instead request to renew her stay (anyway, I am still in the process of restoration for my study permit).

You must first apply for study permit restoration and once that is approved you can apply for the visit visa again. Since your permit extention was denied she has been issued a visa which says that she must leave by the date given on the visa.

Essentially her multiple visa is now not valid and the new visa is active. Once you restore her status you can apply for visit visa again.

It is not a departure order. She can still apply to extend her visitor status and that will allow her to stay beyond the one month. However, if she doesn't apply for an extension and doesn't leave on time, CBSA will issue a warrant.

This has nothing to do with her TRV, which remains valid. She was issued a Visitor Record, not a new visa.

I think I got confused between a TRP and a TR. Upon checking again you are right and although both are a restricted time period they are both completely different, I stand corrected.
