your EE will be valid for a year from the date of submission. if you do not get an ITA within that time, your EE would automatically expire. you will then need to create another EE to get back into the pool. chances of getting an ITA totally depends on your CRS scores, cannot comment on that without knowing your details.

You can recreate a profile as many times as you want. So you just recreate the profile and try to improve your score.
