The PNP nomination letter needs to be used within 6 months. What would happen if CIC take longer than 6 months to open the application and send an AOR? Will they reject the PR application because of an expired nomination letter?

They log when they receive it. If by the time they receive it it's valid, then it's fine. I don't know what would happen if you application is incomplete and they send it back to you. Then I guess you'd have to apply for a new nomination.

CIO date stamp every application they receive on their dock. If your nomination cert. was valid when date stamped, then you are fine.
With regards to your application, it seems that they had received your package before your nomination expired.

Also, if they send you back the package due to not attaching supporting document(s) or no sign, etc., and your certificate expired at that time then you can go to PNP guys and show them the returned package w/ the reason and they will issue you a new certificate.

Now, don't worry about it. Cheers

Thankyou! This does make me feel better. It seems crazy that this is even possibly an issue where it could take 6 months! I wish they'd hurry up!

It is crazy. They took more than 6 months to issue an acknowledgement of my application, in my case. However, they are processing files a bit quicker now than before since things have started settling down for them.

Hi . I am Sep Applicant and stilll haven't receive any AOR from CIO . Any thought?

They are processing October now. I read from other group that there was candidate Ocyober 27 & 30 who received an AOR already. While some from Oct first week does not receive AOR yet. It seems CIO assigns applications to different officers by dates.
