I am planning to take a IELTS exam for the second time. In first attempt I got an average score and want to improve it. I am worried if the 2nd attempt score is less than the 1st, can I use the 1st score ?

I know that the validity of the score is 2 years and my 1st score will be valid. But should I give the latest score or the best valid score in the express entry profile ?

NB: I have seen a similar thread here, but the responses are different. Can somebody with similar experience or good knowledge on this topic give a solid answer ?

You can provide any IELTS score, old or new, as long as it is valid, meaning taken within the last 2 years. IRCC does not keep tab on IELTS attempts of anyone, so providing any valid IELTS score is fine. But you cannot mix and match section scores from multiple IELTS tests, you've to take full score of your chosen test.

You can choose any of those two IELTS TRF.
