What happens if a protected person gets married to a citizen

I am a protected person and have applied for my P.R. I wanted to know what happens when i get married to my girlfriend who is a citizen by birth, Will i have to change my status from a protected when I get my PR, or I will still be under that status as a protected person until I get my citizenship?

Nothing will happen if you marry a Canadian citizen. The marriage itself won't change anything about your status.

Yes, you will have protected person status until you get citizenship.
