What exactly goes on after PPR?

I am asking this becuase timing between PPR and passport return seems to be totally random. Some people get it back within a week and some have to wait over a month.

Does anyone know what exactly happens once CIC gets our passport?
Is it simply a matter of flipping to an empty page and stamping the visa and printing out the accompanying paperwork OR
they still have to do some reviews, last minute checks etc...Just trying to find an answer to the random timing.

I have no idea! I wish I knew. Last month applicants got their passports back in their hand with in 10 days of submission.

These days people are waiting up to 20 days or so.

Even though this is not a massive wait - still I wonder why it was 10 days few weeks back, and now its reaching 20 days.

It's VACATION season Funny because it was christmas vacation when I was waiting for my AOR, now it's summer vacation when I'm waiting for MR!!!!!!!!!!
