I read you are ineligible to sponsor if you are in receipt of social assistance. Does that mean currently receiving it, or received it previously. I'm really worried now, because my wife was on it for a short period of time. =/ If that's the case could I be the cosigner with her and get accepted like that? =/

It means getting it now. If the sponsor was on it in the past, but now is not, that's OK.
You can't be a cosigner for your own sponsorship, and sponsors of a spouse or partner can't have a cosigner anyway.

Thank you, I thought I read somewhere they could. But thank you for clearing that up, I was really worried. I don't want that one little thing to stop us.
