Landing is normally required before the date of expiry of the medical or expiry of the passport whichever occurs first

does it means if i dont have a valid medical but passport still valid for another 2 years i can get my visa in case i received my pp request

No, your medical must be valid at the time of landing. This is usually 1 year from the date the medical was taken, but in some cases if you are very close to the 1 year mark the IO can extend the expiration date on your medical.

Yes, it says whichever occurs first so if your medicals expire before your passport, that will be the limiting factor for your PR visa and if the passport expires before the medicals, it will be the limiting factor.

You will have to re-do the medical. Usually they will request it of you, but it wouldn't hurt to call/email and see if you can go ahead and have another one done. It would save you a couple of months of processing.

well wanted to let you know that i emailed them and asked if i have to re-do my medical cos it s expired they just said that they forward my question to the team processing my application to see if they want me to re-do my medical .
first email when i asked for the state of my application they reply back to me sayin that they asked for my background for other guvermont office and they cant give the time when my process will end ( i hope )

since then i still waitin for news

do you think my friends it s normall for 9 month background check?? ( goin through BUFFALO visa office ) actually i m in quebec had already my certificate of election of quebec all paper sent and all fees payed already
