We applied in June 08 to local embassy in Mexico they forward our simplified application to sydney. \After 6 months we got reply from sydney and we have to submit full application in 120 days to local office. We submit the full application in may 09 got new file number via email and ecas showing in process now just waiting so my question is what the fast track means?? and how long we have to wait more and ecas showing process what is that mean. Are we in fast track or not?? Kindly senior help please.

1. Fast track no longer exists, CIC is trying to finalize all FSW applications within 6-12 months of submission to the overseas processing office.

i don't know but the trackitt data suggests otherwise...

Final applications submitted between Mar-May 09 for old system and fast track are telling a different story.

e.g. finals docs sent in Apr for applications started in say 2003-2005, are still waiting for any response. But, the finals docs sent in Apr for applications started after Feb 2008, have received answers in almost 70% cases...

this is based only on the trackitt data and is bound to be skewed considering thesmall sample size...but, still that's the only consoliated data to do analysis on...

Look only at applications submitted after Feb/09. The new processing standards do not apply to application submitted prior to Feb/08 as they are being processed under the old system.

PMM,

No, because the applications submitted between Feb/08 and Nov/08 sat in limbo waiting for Ministerial instructions, so none were processed. Then some offices shipped them to Sydney, other waited, then shipped them. So for the time frame the processing times are really screwed up.

It looks like we (who applied between 27 Feb-2008 and Nov.2008) were the ones who had to wait longer to know there destiny (whether they would be accepted or rejected based on the ministerial instructions) and it took longer than anticipated to get a file #, but I think the delay was only at the beginning (before issuance of ministerial instructions) then things got moving (Buffalo office). Also, not all files were transferred to other offices, I applied to Buffalo in April 2008, my file was not transferred, my medical is done 3 months ago and now I am awaiting ppr. However, I do agree with PMM that processing time is screwed up, it was said it will take between 6 months to 1 year to reach a decision regarding fsw applications, and that is not the case for most of applications between 27 Feb 2008-Nov. 2008 as it is already 15 months now, and who knows how longer it is going to take!!

Dear PMM
Some of the applicants applied between Feb-Nov 08 have already get either refusal letter or asked to submit full application. So I think they are working on processing the applications. However, they can not make it faster.

Good luck.
