I read that you cannot work more hours to compensate for the one year experience. That means even if at 30hrs per week, you still need to do it for at least 12 months?

1st question:
What about the part time in 24 months? Does that mean I still have to wait for two years before I can apply? or does it mean that I should complete the 1560 hours within 24months time? Sorry for posting, but my brain is mushed. I have been reading for hours and getting conflicting information.

Here is my situation. I am in an Open Work Permit I was working part time for a company with varying hours per week from July 2022 - January 2023. Then I was offered full time position and have been working fulltime since January for the same company.

While working for this Canadian company, I am also working for another company in another country, but I pay taxes for that extra job here in Canada. I checked, and this work is considered as "self-employed".

2nd question:
Now there is this clause:
Your work experience does NOT include any of the following:
-Work done when you were self-employed.

Does that clause mean I cannot count the hours doing that extra job? or does it mean that because I'm also doing self employed work, all my Canadian Work experience is invalid since July 2022?

Thank you guys in advance.

Your remote work counts as foreign experience unless the company is a Canadian company and issues you T4s. Paying taxes doesn’t mean Canadian employment.

For your Canadian employer, you have 7 months of part-time work (3.5 full time) and almost 3-4 months full time. Once you have 12 months full-time then you count Canadian experience.
