I was laid with criminal offenses in Ontario, Canada which were dismissed 4 years ago. I'm currently undergoing a background check from CIC for immigration purposes and they asked for the following:

All pertinent police reports, testimonies/affidavits/written evidence, court orders/decision/documents relating to the case(s) listed; and, if case has been dismissed: out of court settlement documents, affidavit of admission, or any other documents related to the dismissal of case.**

They're looking for more information that the police clearance doesn't cover. How and where do I get all the necessary papers?

As explained in the letter, CIC is looking for additional paperwork about your case. Did you have to go to court? If so, you need to provide all of the related documents. If not and the charges were dropped outside of the court system, you would have been given some sort of paperwork indicating the charges have been dismissed and should provide this as evidence. If you no longer have this paperwork, then you will have to contact your lawyer / the court / the police station to obtain them.
