Quick question, I got approved for a work permit but can I start applying for jobs since I have the document number or do I need the actual work permit in my hands before I can apply?
Anyone can apply for jobs whether they have a work permit or not but the main question asked apart from having a permit in hand is have you actually landed in Canada and available to start immediately. Applying for jobs before actually being in Canada even if someone has a work permit or to be PR status does not that often get a result as opposed to actually being in the country . Plus of course to actually start work you need both a permit (or PR status) together with a SIN which you cannot get until you land in country.
