Hello all experts!

I understand I'll need to write a detailed invitation letter (my status is PR) to visit me in Canada. Besides that, do I need my bank statement, T4, and Notice of Accessment from 2013 and 2012? How about a confirmation of my employment? Those aren't listed on CIC website, but I've been told I will need it somehow.

Thanks!
Amy

Those are all good -- CIC is good about giving out visas when applicants take the time to demonstrate why the visit makes sense and that everything is taken care of on every end. When my wife's mother and sister applied for visas, we submitted the following:

- proof of employment and salary
- letter of invitation, which included an explanation of their ties to their home country
- letter from doctor confirming wife's pregnancy
- copies of our PR cards
- copy of lease

All that stuff is good, you need to show that you're well settled and your relative is coming to hang out for a while.
