What do Canadians mind of refugees?

I want to know, according to your own experience, what is the mainstream view of Canadians about refugees?


For example: discrimination, sympathy, unwelcome, and resource occupation? Or other views

For genuine refugees, Canadians are very welcoming.
For "fake economic refugees" or "asylum shoppers" and "illegal border crossers", the tide of opinion is rapidly turning against them.

Absolutely agreed. Unfortunately, many who claim don’t grasp the meaning of what a true refugee is (and even more unfortunate, IRB seems to go along with them) and claim for reasons that aren’t truly covered by the convention. It’s those who abuse the system that incur the wrath of Canadians. Think you will start to see the same backlash against H&C as well.

cant wait for Canadians to incur the "wrath" of Natives on their stolen land and present day Colonial occupation..
