What curency for the salary should we use for Employment Letter of Reference?

Hello!

In the Reference Letter from my employer, the annual salary should be written in my local country's currency or in $ ? My employment contract states the amount in RON ( my country' currency). If I write the salary in $ in the letter, I will have to specify also the currency conversation from the day the letter was written.

Can anybody help me with an answer?

Your local currency will do, no need to write in CAD.
