I know some are attached to the app, but what do they do with the rest? was just curious.

Some go to the agencies that are responsible for the background and security checks.

Interesting.lol. They're not used for our health card? we can get our picture taken when we apply for it?

My husband's pic isn't on his healthcard, he's from ON. I can't say for other provinces, or if that has changed recently though.

you get a new pic taken for the health cards (the new ones (well new as of about 10 years ago) are photo ones, but they still accept the old red and white ones as much as some places don't like to... the red and white ones never expire, but once you loose, damage or otherwise incapacitate it, you need to get a photo one, which expire every so many years and have to be renewed... pain in the butt so tell hubby not to loose it Charlie!... that's ON at least :) )

one of the pics is used for the visa itself (or a scan of it to print the visa)...

one i believe ends up with the medical... (but that might be attached before hand? can't remember)

i think they separate out the application into different "packages", make a copy or two and probably attach a picture to each package... you do end up getting at least half the pictures back

One goes on your PR card :)

Don't feel bad, mine and my kids' all look like pissed off mug shots LOL They said not to smile for them so we didn't, but we all somehow ended up with almost scowls going on!

Everyone's look like that...something about facial recognition technology.
