I was in the interview yesterday and according to the visa officer that interviewed me that based on the interview and the proofs that we presented she will be giving my eligibility I just need to redo my medicals since it expired last July. And then before ending the interview I even clarified... "Am I approved?" and she said, technically yes we just need to redo your medicals and you're good to go. I called my husband and told him the good news and he was surprised because no one from the embassy called him because he thought he will be interviewed as well to clarify.

And then morning in Canada my husband got a call from cic leaving him a voice message to call them back and give our application number and UCI number when my husband called them back they said that my husband needs to come in for interview ( my husband is my sponsor) they gave the robert speck address. Saying that they will call them again in 7 days to give him an appointment.

I'm confused.... The visa officer already told me that we are approved. What is the interview for my husband for does this mean they are changing their mind with the my approval? :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

It sounds like either the visa officer changed her mind or she wasn't telling you the truth when she saw you. If it's the latter, then that could be an even worse sign.

I'd say try to remember everything you were asked in the interview and what your answers were. Then discuss these things with your husband.

It sounds like good news Em, I guess they just need to interview him too, and make sure you're on the same page.

What's the email? I'm in suspense..

I will be so happy if you get your visa. It give me hope for our visa as well.. and my partner is so happy to hear about your visa also. We know if you get your visa we can also get ours.

Was your interview tough / scary? We have ours pretty soon and I am just stressing out thinking about it day in day out. We also had our medical expired so hopefully we have the same result

Our records indicate that your application was received at the Canadian visa office in Manila on December 14, 2011, and is currently in progress. You attended an eligibility interview with a visa officer on November 13, 2012, which resulted in a positive decision. Based on the officer’s notes, your medicals have expired and will have to be redone. More information will be provided to you at a later date. Please be assured that you will be notified of the next step in the application process as soon as circumstances permit.

Yes I will be praying for you, also someone in the Philippines forum called livelife her partner's address appeared on her ecas which according to some people is a positive sign. So yes you will get yours soon and you will be with your partner ;) I'm excited I hope I get to leave before my birthday. :) I want to be with my partner so badly I miss him a lot.

Nope the interview was really great, the visa officer was really nice and friendly, I never felt nervous or scared even one bit. My interview lasted less than 30 minutes. Just make sure you have a good proof to back up your relationship, answer the questions truthfully and honestly, breath before answering a question, just be calm and always smile. Oh Claim it and pray for it. That was the most powerful weapon I had, my prayers ;) and prayers of family and friends.

This sounds quite positive. I'm confused about why they would want to interview your husband. Sorry if my earlier reply stressed you out more than you need!

Good luck. I hope you and your husband are reunited soon.

Em, what kind of proof did you bring to the interview?
