I applied for PR but I am afraid my PGWP will expire before the PR is processed. I think the there may be a 2 to 4 month delay. Meanwhile I am going back to school full time (post graduate) and work part time. What is the implication or consequence of working after your PGWP expires? Does it matter if you work for only a short period 1-2 months?

After coming this far, not worth the risk, but the ultimate decision is yours to make. You just never know how long the delay could be...imagine if it goes into 2013 and they ask for recent T4s and NOA? They would be able to tell from your income that you worked longer than you should have.

If you are returning to school, you will be eligible for an off-campus work permit(check the cic website to confirm if you still need to wait 6 months to apply for it). There's also the option of finding an employer willing to apply for a LMO.

Thanks for the reply. My current PGWP goes until November, so I guess T4 for 2012 would be okay? Have you been to an interview though? What do they ask?

Your T4 for 2012 will not be OK if you continue working past the expiry of your PGWP. It will show all of your work through the end of December.

I agree with feedback you've already received. Not worth the risk.
