we validated our application and it is complete, but we have found some mistakes in our application and want to reprint some of the pages but not all of them. Is this ok or will it mess something up with the barcodes?

You have to validate again if you change the information.

do you have to validate again if you change information on the forms with out the validation button. I noticed there is a barcode even for the forms that you do not validate.

Yes. The barcodes condense information into a machine-readable format, if you change something on the form, you should re-validate all of them to ensure they all contain the same information consistently.

(Think of them scanning the stuff you buy at the supermarket, if you change your mind on a product, say you want a different brand, they have to void the original readout and do it again for the new product, they can't just accept the old readout for the new product, even if it's the same type).

so imm0008 is the form you have to validate. the barcode page prints off 8 different barcodes all labled imm0008. So what you are saying is that if we want to change imm 5825e that we should fill revalidate the imm0008 even if we did not make changes to imm0008? if so should all the forms be in the same folder before I validate?

No, you only need to update the IMM0008 if you change things within the IMM0008. The "Validate" function is what generates the barcodes, but they only apply to data in the form you are validating.

As I recall, the only two forms they currently validate are the IMM1344 and the IMM0008. Both of these generate barcode sheets.

When your application reaches CIC, they can simply scan those barcodes and all the data from your forms will be entered into the CIC system. This saves them time and decreases the error rate.

thank you my friend for explaining that to me. I have a lot of trouble understanding the guide and when I call in I get 3 different answers. Sometimes I call a number of times to make sure all there answers are the same. I wish I could apply through Buffalo it would be a lot faster. My wife is from mainland china so she has to either apply through hong kong or in Canada. I'm not sure why as she is from the mainland. the processing time is 18 months for both inland and out-land but I hear a lot of people from hongkong get it in about 4 and people in north china get it in about 4. strange... My wife is stuck on applying inland and im trying to persuade her to do it out-land on the chance that her application will be processed faster like others I have seen in about 8 to 12 months. But she is very set on applying inland so im we will see how long it takes. sorry about my spelling I can not see my screen very well
