Hey Guys! I need some clues to guide me, please. I am 51+ and want to immigrate. What are my chances, will age be a barrier? If possible, then what route will be best for me? Can any organization recruit and sponsor me?
Meanwhile, I work as a safety and security officer in my home country. Your response is much appreciated.

Very low. You will not be eligible for Express Entry. Immigration is focused on people in their 30s. You get no points for age. Are you highly skilled and educated? You can try to find an employer willing to go through the LMIA process, and cannot hire anyone with your skills and education in Canada. Then you can apply for a work permit. But this allows you to work in Canada, not immigrate.

Would add that if you do somehow manage to immigrate you are setting yourself up for disaster in retirement unless you have significant savings. You will not have worked long enough in Canada to qualify for full pension (which isn’t enough to live on to begin with) and you won’t have enough time to save for retirement. It is difficult to get into the job market without Canadian experience but you will face ageism and the lack of Canadian experience. Immigration favour
a those in their 20s and 30s for a reason. They have the time to reestablish their life in a new country and often arrive without the financial requirements of having to support a family. In Canada most need 2 salaries to be able to afford to live a decent life because the high cost of living. A security officer is also a low skilled poorly paid job in Canada and it will be very difficult to justify needing someone to come from abroad to do the job. The pay will be difficult to live off of as a single person. If you have a family it likely won’t be enough income.

The pay of a traffic guard should probably better than a security guard.
