What ar my rights in Canada?

I married a Canadian and have had my PR since June 2015. I now want a divorce due to issues. How can I stay here? Can I divorce and live here and keep my PR? My wife and I are both emotionally abusive; I just do not want to move back to the states' I started my whole life and career here.

Does your COPR state Condition 51 on it? If not, you're free to divorce and continue to live in Canada.

If you have Condition 51, you have to continue to reside together until June 2017.

Your sponsor may have trouble if you apply for social assistance though...
