Hi,
I have just received request for medical. Could anyone please tell me how long does it take once the medical results are submitted.

Regards.

timelines vary - for most recent trends, check out some of the trackers

if you are from a visa exempt country you will go straight to receiving COPR
if you are not visa exempt, you will receive a request for your passport

Can you specify your timelines first? That way we can understand better...

this is what is says when i check my status online
Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on November 4, 2013.

We started processing your application on May 15, 2014.

Following is the breakdown:

Application Submitted: November 4, 2013.
AOR : December 6, 2014
RCMP Request: May 5, 2014
Request for copy of valid passport : 15 May 2014
Medical Request: 16 May, 2014

Note: I had submitted RCMP with my original application and when they asked me for RCMP on May 5th, I told them that it has already been sent with original application. Later they requested Copy of valid passport which i submitted by replying to their email.
After that I received Medical Request.

RCMP request which was made on May 5th has not been submitted yet since I am in USA at the moment and I will be going back to Canada after 5 days. I will be going for medical tests and RCMP fingerprints as soon as I get there.

Thanks everyone for their precious time and advice.

At the moment, a lot of October and September applicants are still waiting for their Passport Request. And you haven't even performed your medical exam as well as submitted your PCC, so it is kinda farfetch to estimate how long you will get your Passport Request after your medical exams. Different Panel Physicians have different availability, and varying time in uploading the medical results. Some doctors could take few days, others could take few weeks. Then, we don't know if your medical exams will go smoothly and won't need another test.

Different Visa Officers may take varying time in processing your files afterwards. They could also take few days or few months. Few chances that they will need to re-review your file again. So there is a lot of factors here, and it would be hard to estimate when you will get your Passport Request. Good luck with your case thou~

Normally takes 01 week to get your status updated to " medical results received" post your doc uploads your results.

Thx

I don't think one week is considered normal, more like very lucky. Maybe average time is between 1-3 weeks...

I agree, but normally it should be updated within one week. if not then for sure before max end of 3 weeks.

My medical was sent probably less than a week ago and on ECAS it says Medical results have been received.

It's all case to case basis buddy, but normally it gets updated in one weeks time and if not then for sure before end of 3 weeks.

Cheers
