My husband and I have sent several Western Unions back and forth. He is the Canadian. I've mostly sent the WU to give him a boost in need. I live with my parents. He's sent me a couple WU but none of these are really to support each other as the question in the Spouse/Partner Questionnaire implies. Have any of you been in similar situations?

I had sent one WU to my wife in India and we had attached a WU receipt on application.

Did you check that you supported each other on the application? I do have the receipts thankfully.

I did in my case send western union aswell to my wife and included all the receipts. But I am the sponsor and I did check that I help support her.

I am curious about the answer as well. I have sent 2 money transfers to my partner, but they were not for 'support', they were to pay for some travel arrangements we were making together. Not sure if I should include them or not.

WU receipts do prove the relation is ongoing and it shows that you are helping each other financially. It's a good way to prove a relationship

I had over 30 WU receipts submitted in my application for spouse and they were all returned to me when my file was approved and finalized... Just an FYI

We both are financially independent and didnt write anything for the "Supporting each other financially part". It didnt stop our application from being processed successfully.

Attach receipts if you have and feel it will help prove a point that your relation is genuine. If you dont have any, then no need to fret either.

What would be more important is photos of you two together, travel plans, photos with family etc, to prove that your families are aware of the relation and that your relation is genuine.

Thank you all. We have an abundance of photos from 2 years of living together and I've visited him 5 times over the last year since he returned to Canada. The Western Union receipts are not going to make or break the application I don't believe. At the same time, as suggested, it doesn't seem like it would hurt, only help. Thank you :-)
