HI All! I'm Maria. An RN from Manila, Philippines. Had nursing experience in medical surgical area at one of tertiary hospitals here and did some private duty nursing locally and abroad. I am considering to work in US or in Canada now that my children are independent. I've taken initial step for Canada which is the equivalency assessment through WES. I got the result letter recently. Can someone help me interpret further as I dont understand if that really substantiates my credentials. And what will be the next step moving forward.

Canadian Equivalency: Secondary diploma and diploma

Thank you advance.

No. It does not. You cannot claim points for Bachelors. It’s a “diploma”, according to WES (post high school, but before Bachelors). With this, you would be losing considerable number of points. With your current profession, you have a good chance for PNP with select provinces.

You may also consider looking for other ECA bodies, who would be able to provide a better assessment of your credential.
