Hi all,

A simple question. Looking for advise from past experiences

I am filing WES application for my spouse (as EE application dependent). She had a master's degree from UK, which will be her highest education certificate.

In the meantime, should we also require her Bachelor's degree to be verified by WES within the same report? The concern is that if her WES report only mentions her Master's degree, would CIC

1 penalize us for not having her bachelor's degree included in the same WES Report

2. come back to us and ask for another report for her bachelor's degree?

I guess the essence of the question is whether, in the same report, a verification of a bachelor's degree is mandatory to support a verification of a master's degree from WES's point of view.

Thanks!

To be sure, have your bachelor and masters assessed. So in case your Masterswas assessed to 4y bachelor, you can hope that your bachelor can be assessed to 3 or 4years bachelor as well so that you will receive a few points higher than having only bachelors but lower than masters a few points.

Either way, it is a win win situation.

Thank you so much for the timely reply.

Just to be sure in case my original question wasn't correctly put up - we obviously want to claim points from her UK master's degree. In that sense once we get her WES report done with only her Master's degree, we shouldn't have to worry about the missing of verification of her bachelor's degree on the same WES report. I hope this is the correct understanding. If so it would be very assuring. We certainly hope to get her bachelor's degree done but it's way too complicated due to some country specific documentation requirement.

Thanks again!

Hi Danny,

I think I mistyped my answers above. I highlighted in red the corrections.

For me it is better so assess her bachelor as well, if in case her masters was assessed as bachelor, then her bachelor in your local country as bachelor in canada, then you will have 2 bachelors degree which is somehow fair than only having single bachelors degree

Simple explanation below (not actual scoring)

Bachellor 1point
2 Bachelor 2points
Masters 3points
