Hi everyone -

Originally, I was going to apply under the graduate stream CEC meeting the conditions: a) from Canadian institution (master's degree) + b) 1 year of work experience.
However, I found out that because I went on exchange abroad during my program and wasn't physically present in Canada for part of my studies, I now don't qualify under the graduate stream.

With the recent changes to CEC, can I apply under the temporary worker stream with 1 year of work experience? The reason I am asking is because my work experience was obtained on a Post-Graduate work permit and I was first admitted to Canada as a student, not a temporary worker. Does the work permit with which the work experience is gained make a difference?

Thank you for clarifying!

As long as your work experience is authorized, you should be OK. The website isn't fully updated yet, but I don't think there are 2 streams anymore, there's just 1 set of CEC requirements.
