I posted our application a couple of months ago. I sent it tracked and signed for so I know that it's been received... I understand that the next thing is that they acknowledge receipt.... but surely it can't take this long?!

Any advice?!!
 
AOR isn't sent as soon as they have received the application - it's sent once they have opened the application, taken a quick looked and deemed it complete. Not sure which stream you applied through - but most likely completely normal.

Only after exceed the processing time can you do an inquire. I have seen some application not updated but be a web form inquiry after the processing time and seen it was accepted. Do not stress yourself out waited for the receipt. I believe the application update are done manual so it maybe not updated until finalize of the application.
