Hello all, I am on H1B residing in USA.My deadline for landing is september 17. I have valid I-797 with out visa stamped.So i was planning to go for visa stamping too. But the earliest appointment i have is in the month of january 2020 making it difficult to come back to US. Now i am confused. Can anyone suggest me better alternative ideas. thanks.

You cant do both landing and stamping due to wait time. As you dont need stamping for returning to US from Canada visit, you can very well skip it and i dont see any option other than that in Sep.
You can try interview appointments for PR's since at the time of the interview you will be a PR. But other than that, you don't have to get the Visa. You can return using AVR.
