weird interview ? seniors please help.

Hey all
I got email to attend an interview on 30th june.

they didnt ask me in interview letter to bring anything , like doc or proof, etc ,,,,,,

I have done my medical 10 months ago, August 2009.

and im under SINP 2008 ,and i passed my full doc to local CIC 11 months ago.

what is this for ?

I am not sure actually, but it looks to me like a security related interview ! because it is after medicals by 11 months and you say that they are not asking you to bring any documents.

Have they ever contacted you after medicals for anything ? it looks like something has poped up suddenly in your background or security checks and they want to clear up the doubt.

I am just not sure maybe some one who has gone through the same situation can help by details.


By the way, which visa office is that ?

i have a clean record, what do u mean by security related?
everything was fine since med's day, never asked me to bring additional, after the first time,
i gave all doc on the first day, 11 months ago, then they ask me to take med a month after, which means 10 months ago,

any idea?

I am sure that you have clean records, they do the security and background checks for all applicants regardless whether you have sent a police clearance or not.

In your case, if it was only a random selection for a quality assurance interview, i would say that they should have asked for it long time ago before the expiry date of the medicals, but it looks too late to be for quality assurance purposes.

If they have asked for any documents, i would say it is related to the background checks, because they are unable to verify some documents in your applicaiton for any reason, and are asking you to bring more detailed documents to the interview, but that is not the case, they are just asking you to attend without a document request !

Email them again to double check whether they need you to bring any documents with you.

May something came up during the background check that needs clarification or it is a quality control interview.

its Malaysia office,
and i lived in malaysia since 2007, and live my home country instead, that means 2 countries .
and i visited 7 countries in my life.

cic take more time in background checks for applicant who is frequent visiter to other countries and who lived in more than one country.
