Hi everyone. My boyfriend and I are gonna get married in the next month for the purpose to apply for the sponsorship. Is it important to have some formalities, such as wedding rings and film making? Are the witnesses enough or it's important to have his family with us?

My questions are related to the proves that we will need to them later.
Thank you!

If you go through the checklist, you can see what the requirements are and you can get your proofs ready accordingly.

What country are you from? For some countries, the visa officer will expect to see a big, traditional wedding ceremony, or a very good reason why this was not done. For other countries, it does not matter. It depends on what is considered normal in your culture.
Even if the wedding ceremony is very small, however, you should still try to make it look like it is important to you. Get dressed up, exchange rings, take photos, any family and friends who can attend will be an asset, go out for dinner afterwards if you don't want or can't afford a reception, go on a honeymoon if possible.
