LANDED..........
FEB 25, 2016
I've been with this forum for a while. I never came across this piece of info that we can 'land' at any cic office. Just need to book an appointment beforehand (which might take couple weeks).

In my case, I have lived in Canada for 5 year. Also I don't feel comfortable doing flag poling (because of refused entry, even though it's an admin refusal)

Just wanted to share.

It can take anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months to get an appointment. It's a great choices provided you aren't in a rush to land.

fairly common knowledge i thought. only an option for people currently in Canada and due to the probability of long wait times to get an appointment (anything up to two months), its not always the most convenient option for people who want to land before visa's expire etc.

Maybe common knowledge, but was news to me. Thanks to the OP for posting.

We really need a wiki to facilitate, collate and organise the amazing info on this forum.

Guys, you need to visit official CIC site sometimes.

Personally, I tried this option. Called CIC to schedule the appointment. They said that they will forward my request to local office which should contact me in 2 weeks. I went to the border after month of waiting.

I also want to do my landing at CIC office in Edmonton, anybody knows if i can book an appointment before COPR? i think the waiting time is different in each city...maybe i will be lucky and the Edmonton office is not very busy....

It depends on the place. My friend got appointment within 2 days and he told me the procedure was simple.
