Hi all

so I'm a PR of Canada and I'm exploring ways to bring two members of my family with me...

One is my Mom. She is 65, she does not speak english at all. I know there is the parents and grandparents stream, but that seems to have very little room, it seems to close in like 5 days every year... The other option is the Super Visa, but if I understand, she would still need to have an address back home to come with that, she can't leave her house forever? so that would be a problem, since it makes no sense to live with me and pay rent back home...

The other person is my brother. He is 42 years old and lives with my mom. He has some mental problems, had a big depression event and does not work and is unable to take care of himself... however, he refuses to go through the process of being recognized as person with disability, so back home he does not have any welfare status... He speaks minimal english. Would there be a way to bring him to Canada? what would be the way? I have no clue...

I live in Alberta by the way.

Thanks for your help.

You have living parents so therefore you can't sponsor your brother. And as I'm sure you know it takes a long time to sponsor parents/grandparents. And either would be quite the financial strain/undertaking on you as it doesn't seem either would be able to work....

i am in the same situation. My sister is physically disabled (26years old). I Can call my mom on supervisa but my sister can't accompany her on super visa..don't know what to do. any suggestions????

Your sister has to apply for a regular visitor visa.

So, shall i apply for super visa for my mom first??? or the visitor visa for my sister>>???

Do the below steps
1> Get ur brother declare disable in home country . At least have a medical prognosis report from physiotherapist. It got show him
more than just depression( ex bipolar disorder etc) that shows he cannot support himself.
2> U supporting financially on regular basis to ur family of two back home. Have this evidence.
3> Get good lawyer and apply under H & C .

Thanks for the reply.

1. ok can be done, hard but possible...
2. No they do support themselves, my mom has a pension from my dad who passed.
3. What is H&C? Any good lawyer in the Calgary area?

Thanks
