Good morning, as you guys here, I'm waiting as well for my PPR. I got AOR on September 3, 2015. Yesterday, I got an email from CIC asking for Verification of Status. I applied for PR when I had my WP active, but this one expired during the process as I couldn't renew it. Lucky me, I got a visitor visa and I've been waiting for my papers as a visitor. With this on mind, yesterday, I submitted the form IMM5009 as they wanted proof that I'm legally in Canada (more money, $30 CAD more for them). My question is, how many here on this forum got asked for the same after having to change status during the process? How does it look like for getting PR?
Note: a visitor visa or a study permit are suggested for CIC when a work permit isn't able to be renew.
Please share your experience as it could help not only myself, but others in similar situation.
