Hi Everyone,

Good day!
I would like to ask if anyone could help me in my situation.
I'll be migrating this June and I hope that my bf could be with me while I'm adjusting in a new environment.
I am thinking of having him file a temporary visa with a work permit then be married there.
Is it possible or are we violating some rules?
I would definitely appreciated any suggestions that you could give.
Thank you.

1. I have to assume that you are not a common/law couple in that you haven't been living together for a year. If you have then you have a real problem.
2. Your BF can apply for a visitor visa (TRV if required) but I doubt very much that CIC/CHC will issue one, as it would appear that his visit is not temporary, but his intention is to marry and remain permanently.
3. So he can only apply for one, and see what CIC/CHC does.
