hello
I am a student who currently resides in pakistan, but i wish to complete my undergraduate degree in Canada. I am not a citizen of Canada. I plan to apply for the winter session at ryerson university as a full time student, which will start in january. so i know there are alot of documents and permits required, which are sort of confusing me. when should i apply for a study permit and visa? and if i can gather half the tuition fee for the first year and earn the rest would that be acceptable? please guide me in all this

To be approved for a study permit, you will need to show that you have sufficient funds to cover the tuition for the entire first year, plus an additional $10K for living expenses, plus an additional $2K to $3K for travel expenses.

Assume you will NOT be able to earn the rest of your tuition working in Canada. You will only be allowed to work 20 hours per week while studying and can expect to make minimum wage. This means you will end up with enough money to cover some spending and some living expenses. But certainly not enough to cover tuition.

okayyy thanks for this insight. and if i already have some relatives there who will let me use transport and living facilities for free, and can get scholarships and funds for my tuition, could something work out then?

Scholarships are sometimes possible at the Masters or PhD level. Since you are attending Ryerson, assume there will be no scholarships.
