Want to know about marriage certificate

Hiii friends.. Recently i received an sponsorship from Canada on my friend birthday.. I am married & have a baby... But i didn't have marriage certificate.. So i have some questions... I am a sikh & i didn't registered my marriage.. .. What will happen if i didn't have registered certificate??? I m live in india punjab

Hi Karmvir,

First, your friend cannot 'sponsor' you to visit him/her. S/he can only invite you.

But i didn't have marriage certificate.. So i have some questions... I am a sikh & i didn't registered my marriage.. .. What will happen if i didn't have registered certificate??? I m live in india punjab

It does not matter to IRCC/Canada whether or not your marriage is registered. As alternative documents, you can include a copy of your spouse's passport which states your name and/or the birth certificate of your baby.

That said, it is mandatory to register a marriage in India since an amendment was made to the laws in 2005

Thxxx for text back... I married 5 year ago... So if i registered marriage tomorrow ... The date on certificate will be tomorrow... Is that confusing visa officer?? Soory for bad English

& what about banking sector??? Bank statement need for visa is fresh money or recently added money or old funds matters???

Registering your marriage tomorrow will not imply that you are getting married tomorrow.

You must include a 6 months' bank statement. Your bank balance/transactions must match your ITR and declared income.
