Hi all, Please I need answers for the following:

I have just got my ITA under CEC category and I have got a score of 484 (saying my wife won't be joining me in canada). I have my wife and kid who are outside of canada and i am now thinking of including them in my application. problem is that my wife hasn't done wes or ielts but she has got more than a year of work experience which gives me a point of 456 on the express entry point calculator ( and 451 without her one year work experience). I want to enquire if I can include my family in my application? It will definitely reduce my points but i would like to know my chances of getting PR by including them with my application as there's a place in the form where they ask ''Will this person (wife and kid) accompany you(the major applicant) to Canada?

You have two options,
1. You can decline this ITA and edit your EE application, so that you will have your dependants as accompanying. 451 should be more than enough to get your ITA the next time. If your wife's experience is outside Canada, then it should not give you any points.
2. Accept the ITA and include your dependants in the PR application and see to that you have more points than the cut off points for your draw. This will make the VO recalculate the points and check your eligibility.
I would prefer options 1, as it would mostly mean a wait period of another 2 weeks and you can continue without any issues.

I did get a score of 484. Adding my spouse would drop my score to 456. (No wes, ielts, or Canadian work experience) I just checked it on the express entry draw calculator.

I would then suggest you to decline this ITA and edit your EE profile. With 456, you will get the ITA in the next draw which is supposed to be on June 27. But, if you want to apply now then make the necessary changes in the PR application.

I guess I 'll just make the changes in the PR application as I have got about 85% of my documents ready. Thanks to you all.
