want to delay my PR card for 2 years

Hi guys,
I just sent my passports for visa stamping.(Aug 2012)
My medicals completed in April 2012.
Due to personal reasons, I will not be able to go and settle immediately in CANADA. I prefer go and settle in 2015. However I will go and do the landing formalities in Jan 2013. I don't know whether I will be able to get my PR cards during my stay of 2 or 3 weeks in Jan 2013.
Can anyone suggest me what is the best way to retain my PR status, and how do I face the IO at Canadian Immigration, and can I go and settle in 2015 without any trouble.

As long as there are still 730 days remaining prior to your first five years, there is no issue. As for your PR card, you will need to have it sent to someone you know in Canada, or have it sent to your attorney, or use a mail forwarding agent to have it sent to you.

Note: even though your PR card will expire at some point in time, the residency requirement is measured from the date that you land, so you must be able to move to Canada within approximately 3 years of your original landing date. The current government is pushing much harder on the residency requirement, so don't risk trying to stay away 3.5 years as that can lead to problems.

Thanks for the reply, and it sounds wonderful, will try to move permanently by beginning of 2015, I will still have 3 years , and. Can I travel multiple times to Canada in the next two years too?

As a permanent resident of Canada, you have a legal right to enter Canada, so you may travel to Canada any time that you wish.

Even if you are in breach of the residency requirement, they still have to let you into the country - though they may report you and ultimately that may lead to the issuance of a removal order.
