...lets say I had a job interview and the company knows about my application. Then said company decides they would like for me to work for them and they would work with me to star work with them asap. You know, go through the appropriate paperwork to get a visa and so on and etc. Is this possible? Would there be any complications? What would become of my presence in this world o.O?

A work permit app would be completely separate from your PR app.

However, unless the job falls under NAFTA and therefore doesn't require an LMIA, there is no chance you would be able to start ASAP. The company would need to apply for an LMIA, which generally takes several months; given the processing time, effort and $1000 fee, most employers are not willing to go through the LMIA process.

If you find a company willing to do this and the LMIA is approved, you could then flagpole at the border to get a work permit.

What's your position? Like the previous poster said, if it's under NAFTA, you can start soon.

I am just running "what if.." through my head. I am thinking of putting out some applications for the production animation field and wanted to know what the possibilities are.
