Hi All,
I'm currently living in Montreal, my status is temporary worker (work permit expires Dec. 2016).
Yesterday I received my "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" (CoPR), which I still need to validate.
The problem is, I need to travel outside of Canada next week, and again for another trip shortly thereafter.
If I validate the CoPR the first time I return to Canada, there will not be enough time for me
to receive the PR card before I have to travel again.

So I'm wondering if the first time I travel, I could just re-enter Canada under my current immigration
status (temporary worker) as usual, and wait for the return from the second trip before I validate
the CoPR. Or is the second trip impossible (this second trip is just 2 days, does not give me enough time to
apply for a travel document outside of Canada)? I'm a US citizen.

I don't think you should have any problem getting in and out as you are from Visa exempt country, though for peace of mind you can confirm this with Immigration officer when you come back after first trip.

Technically, you cannot enter without PR card, but as you are from Visa exempt country you cannot be denied entry, though you will have to COPR at port of entry.

You can also call CBSA to get more information. Here is link: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/bis-sif-eng.html
