Hi! I just want to ask help regarding this waiting time for this student visa processing since my husband in the Philippines submitted his application to the embassy last June 1 yet there was no response or haven't heard anything yet from the embassy . I'm quite worried since fall opening of classes is approaching . So please anybody could give us the timeline for this.... thank you very much.

I submitted mine on May 11. I still don't have a response.

Hi both of you and for those who are in the same situation.

I passed by that and in my case my student visa was proccessed in the most delaying embassy-Nairobi-Kenya. when one month after submission passed, i went myself in the embassy. The lady was not happy to see me and she did not want to entertain me. But i am not the kind of person who give up so easily. I told her: listen, my intake is beginning in september, all required documents are there, so tell me where is the problem? my case was worse, because i was in Tanzania, and my visa was processing in Kenya. I told the lady to call them. She saw me as weird person, but finally she called, and guess what? my visa was already processed , but kenya just simply delayed posting the information to the high commission of Tanzania. can you imagine? In your case, call them and write to them, you don't have to behave wierd like me, but show them politely that is your right. i wish you all the best and please don't give up

Re:Study permit application in Nairobi CHC

hey members
I have already got admission in Thompson rivers university.I have already applied for my student's visa and Last week I was asked by CHC Nairobi to do my medical examination which I completed...I am wondering what are my chances to get a student visa since I have done my medicals and I don't have any health issues that may be a burden to anyone or a threat to any one.........I have shown my dad's finance of $100,000 which is sufficient...I have paid my tuition....Lastly I have a question regarding home ties since I am a young applicant 18 yrs who just finished high school it is impossible for me to show ties such as property, housing, job offer and etc....so the only form of tie that I mentioned is my family back at home on my study plan...is that enough to satisfy the visa officer......Thank you p/s I am a Bangladeshi citizen living in Uganda on my study permit here....hoping to hear asap...
