Hi folks,

I have applied for my PGWP in May and I'm still waiting for the answer. The expected processing time is of 3 to 4 months.

My study visa will expire in July and I probably won't get an answer by that. My SIN and my Manitoba Health are also expiring at that time.

So what am I supposed to do if my PGWP won't come before July?

Thanks in advance!

Cheerz!

Well the positive thing is that having applied for a PGWP you are on implied status so at least can work if you want to pending a decision.

For the ones looking for this answer here it goes:

- SIN / working during PGWP wait: you can work normally even if your SIN expires until you get an answer from PGWP. After you get PGWP you need to renew your SIN (applies for spouse too).

- Manitoba Health: you can apply for a 1 in a lifetime Manitoba Health extension of 90 days - use it wisely (applies for the whole family).

- Staying in Canada: as long as you're waiting for the answer, and your visa didn't expire, you can stay in Canada and travel. However, when your visa expires, it's recommended not to leave Canada as you won't have a valid visa in your passport (applies for the whole family).
