Hi All,

I have been waiting at 461 since July with CLB 9. Need some advice for increasing my scores as 461 seems to be at a lower level according to the latest trends. And with the new EE system in place I have no idea what to expect from the cut-offs now
I have listed some do-able options and it will be great if people can guide me accordingly:
1. Increase IELTS to CLB 10 but most importantly it will add another 5-6 points only
2. Learn French and give TEF exam. Any ideas how much time will it take and what level should i achieve before undertaking the test.
3. OINP nomination: I guess I wont count it because it is just luck or am i missing something here
4. Offer letter from employer: The LMIA is in process since 3 months and my employer has given up on following with the bureaucrats. So this is ruled out too. And moreover it doesnt carry much weight in the new system

It will be great if people can advice from their experience and knowledge

If you don't know French, it will take you a year of very serious study to achieve a TEF score that will increase your EE point. This isn't a realistic short-term option for increasing your score.

461 seems to be a real good score. You can hope that the cut-off scores come down to 460 in the coming draws as the no. of invitations has gone up and above 1500+ for the last 2 rounds.

Thanks Scylla. I guess I should get started in that case.
