Hi to all,
I have sent my children to Canada to educate. My son is 10 and my daughter is 17. I am allowed to be in canada to acompany theM. My consultant has told me that I can change my visa to w-1 in order to be permitted to work for supporting them after two months. After getting a job I can request ftom the authorities to get a visa for my wife to join me. And finally this process will lead to permanent residency. Is that true.
Would a real consultant please respond?
Thnx in advance.,

So your children are in Canada on a study permit with an assigned/ named guardian?

As a parent you have no rights to accompany minors in Canada as a result of them being on a study permit other than being on a visitor visa.

For sure the only way you could work is to find an employer to support an LMIA application or to apply through one of the immigration programs, Express Entry or PNP. Expecting anything in 2 months would be very optimistic and even finding any employer to support an LMIA will be a challenge.

By the way there are no real consultants on this forum
