What counts as volunteer experience?

For example I am a part of advisory board but I don’t get paid. Similarly, I have a scicomm website but I don’t make profit out of it.

I have mentioned it in the LOE as these can be found on my LinkedIn profile. I hope it’s not misrepresentation or anything illegal that I am doing. it's just activities to help communicate science.

Hmmm... Baffled as to why you are asking about this? Why do you think you need an LOE about volunteering?

Any unpaid "work" is volunteer.

I explained it because it appears on my LinkedIn profile and when they do a background check, they might see this and it could raise issues.

You have given me zero context. Where are you in the application process? Are you filling out your eAPR? If so, volunteer work should be in your personal history. No need for a LOE if your personal history is complete.

I have already submitted my application. I am at post AOR stage since a month. I explained it in LOE but didn't include it in personal history.

LOL, so why are you asking NOW ? In any case, I would not worry about it, since you wrote the LOE.
