Hello Community,

My husband and I are applying for Permanence Residence, being my husband the main applicant.

I (wife) have a question regarding my personal history. I was volunteering in an organization in the USA for one year. I holded a B1 Visa (Business) and the organization paid me and gave me benefits like living for free in a house.

Where should I put this experience in my personal history? I want it to be considered in my 10 years so I can not out it as Organization. Should I put it as employment or unemployment and indicate it was a paid volunteering experience?.

Thanks for your advice

Hi,

You can add it as an unemployment and there is a space where you can type in Volunteer. I don't think it matters if you specify it as a paid volunteer activity if it's not contributing to your score. All the best.
