So I'm helping my friend post here. She is going though some difficult times so any help would be appreciated.

My friend came to Canada back in 2012 and she was in the IEC international co-op program. She worked for a company for approx. 1 1/2 year.

The school have a co-op student attendance form indicating she has worked at this company.

However, little did she know, she was paid in cash and the company did not file a T4. The company now doesn't want to get into trouble so they wouldn't want to write an employment letter for her. However the company would be willing to write down a volunteer date for 6 months but that will contradict with the date from the visa we have summited.

What else can she do? Her deadline is on the 24th of this month and she really want this form to get approved since she has no where to go if this application gets rejected. Would it help if there are attendance form from the school signed by one of the staff working from the company? There's a signature but it has no proof that she worked there.

It looks like she'll have to make do without that letter unfortunately... But do submit any documentation you have from the school that relates to this. She can even explain in her intent letter what the situation is.. Sorry
